Ingredients:
For the Cookie Bars:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Frosting:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk (more if needed for consistency)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Cookie Bars:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth.
Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and beat until fluffy.
Mix in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Bake:
Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Prepare the Frosting:
In a mixing bowl, beat together the creamy peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
Add the milk, a little at a time, until you reach a spreadable consistency.
Mix in the vanilla extract.
Frost and Serve:
Once the cookie bars are completely cool, spread the peanut butter frosting evenly over the top.
Cut into squares and serve.
