This creamy, hearty casserole combines ground beef, chow mein noodles, and savory vegetables into one dish that’s perfect for cozy family dinners. Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup cooked chow mein or egg noodles
  • 1 can (15 oz / 400 ml) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Cook the beef

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Add vegetables and flavor

Stir in celery, mushrooms, soy sauce, and cook for about 5 more minutes. Then add the cream of mushroom soup, sesame oil (if using), and cooked noodles. Mix everything together.

3. Bake the casserole

Transfer the mixture into a baking dish. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes. Uncover during the last 5 minutes if you’d like a crispy top.
