Here’s a delicious Pecan Pie Cobbler recipe — it combines all the gooey, nutty goodness of pecan pie with the comfort of a cobbler. It’s easy to make and perfect for fall or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
For the base:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the topping:
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the batter:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
- Stir in the melted butter (it will be a loose batter).
- Pour into baking dish:
- Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the batter into the dish — do not stir once it’s in.
- Add pecans:
- Sprinkle the pecan halves evenly over the batter.
- Add brown sugar and water:
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over everything.
- Carefully pour the hot water over the top. Do not stir.
- Bake:
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbly.
- The liquid will thicken into a rich caramel-like sauce as it bakes.
- Cool slightly and serve:
- Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
Notes
- The hot water on top might seem strange, but it creates a caramel sauce on the bottom as it bakes.
- You can use dark brown sugar for a deeper molasses flavor.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or bourbon for a twist.
