Looking for a no-fuss, crowd-pleasing sweet treat? Crock Pot Candy, also known as Mr. Bud Candy, is a classic slow cooker recipe made with just a few simple ingredients. Sweet, salty, and delightfully crunchy, these little chocolate-peanut clusters are perfect for holidays, gift boxes, or any time you need an easy dessert.
Best part? The slow cooker does most of the work!
Ingredients You’ll Need
- 1 (16 oz / 450 g) jar dry roasted salted peanuts
- 1 (16 oz / 450 g) jar unsalted peanuts
- 1 (12 oz / 340 g) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (12 oz / 340 g) bag milk chocolate chips
- 2 (10 oz / 280 g) packages peanut butter chips
- 2 lbs (900 g) white almond bark (broken into chunks)

How to Make Crock Pot Candy
- Layer the ingredients in your slow cooker in this order (very important for even melting):
- Salted peanuts
- Unsalted peanuts
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Milk chocolate chips
- Peanut butter chips
- Almond bark on top
- Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours.
Do not stir while it’s cooking! - After 2–3 hours, stir everything together gently until fully combined and smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment or wax paper using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop.
- Let them cool and harden at room temperature for about 1–2 hours.
Optional Add-ins:
- Top with sprinkles for a festive touch
- Mix in mini marshmallows for extra chew
- Add crushed pretzels for a salty crunch
Tips for Best Results:
- Use a 6-quart slow cooker or larger so the chocolate melts evenly.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
- Makes around 100 small pieces, so it’s great for holiday trays or gift bags!
